Moods of Norway wraps up Oslo Fashion Week with “Norwegian Fairytales”

Never before has a fashion show, or another event of that matter, been held at the Bygdø Royal Farm. As expectations arose to what Moods of Norway had stored up in their colorful sleeves this season, one could only suspect if they could outdo themselves yet again.

Set in Bygdø peninsula with elements from fairytales along the path that led up to the Farm, the rain didn’t prevent the guests from missing the ending of OFW. Celebrities, press, bloggers and people from the fashion industry were all ready for an evening of celebrating fairytales.

The designer trio’s collection “Norwegian Fairytales” is a tribute to the many Norwegian traditional folktales. Notably well coordinated with spotlights, a massive disco ball, dancing and rock-climbing trolls to Edward Grieg’s “In the Hall of the Mountain King”, the show opened with businessman Christian Ringnes portraying The Ashlad.

A strong runway of kings, princes and princesses. There were characteristic plaid suits, as well as solid colors of screaming pink, blue and yellow, brocade patterns, details of silver and pink threading. In addition to the collection were the leather bags and next seasons blue soles. The princesses however, showed both maxi, sheer and short dresses, flirty shorts as well as relaxed beachwear.

Moods of Norway had this year invited the comedians Tre Raske Menn and singer Marion Raven to entertain the crowd, not needed necessarily as the designers were the main attraction themselves. With the front rows dancing ovation at last nights show, it is safe to say they know how to pull a party and wrap up the fashion week as a happy ending.

As the Norwegian phrase goes: “Snip, snap, snout”, this trio’s tale’s is not told out.
