A debutante we believe in

Camilla Bruerberg, the designer debutante of the season, was a pleasant surprise.

The designer is heavily inspired by techniques and tradiotions of the Far East, which she says gives her the opportunity to look at the issue of dressing the body in a different way than what we are used to here in Norway. Maybe that’s the secret behind this refreshing collection, where clean lines meets unique details.

Camilla specializes in knit, and has developed innovative and beautiful patterns that you can see on several of the tops. The materials are soft and delicate, and natural fabrics is something that she is passionate about. You can clearly see the good quality of the materilas on the way that the garments hangs nicely on the models. Loose fits and soft drapings are contrasted both by tight garments and also geometric lines. Among the intricate knits we also see some prints, and fabric combinations such as silk and mesh. It all has a certain eccentricity about it, but still it looks clean and very wearable.

Camilla Bruerberg says that her dream customer is Johnny Depp, and we can certanly picture the actor in some of these pieces. Maybe she should send him a package? There’s probably a clear market for what she does, men who appreciates quality and who aren’t afraid to stand out. We truly believe in this designer, and look forward to see her upcoming work.
