Toonie town from Fam Irvoll

With an overcrowded arena Fam Irvoll continues to impress

Fam Irvoll did once again bring us back to the playfulness of childhood with her cartoon inspired collection. The collection named After Rain, has been inspired by pop art, rain and garden. The clothes were decorated with big flowers, skies, speech, 3D, balloons and the styling was playful and over the top. Colourful wigs and makeup made the collection stand out as fun and crazy, just as Fam Irvolls clothes usually are.

What is a show without our celebrities? Here we could see Triana Iglesias, Samsaya, Mira Craig, Maria Skappel, Mariann Thomassen and even Anna Trevelyan which is one of Lady Gagas stylists. Trevelyan was specially invited by Fam to view this seasons collection

Collateral damage
As usual, Fam Irvoll does not have a runway show without entertainment. This time the trash/disco/punk-group Dobbermann & The Chiuauas entertained the crowd. Dobbermann is also known as the designer Baron von Bulldog (Kjell Nordström). At the end of the show, he trashed some drums with a baseball bat, before kicking the debris into the crowd. And of course, one of the drums hit Samsaya straight on the nose. After the show she was observed backstage with a small ice bag and a very red spot on the upper part of the nose. But don’t worry. She is a though girl and survived the ordeal.

Out growing Oslo Fashion Week
Over 2.500 guests went to see Fams SS2011 collection, and the place was packed. This is the first time Norwegian Fashion has observed that not all guests were able to get inside to see the show. There is only one other fashion show that has a greater number of audience, and that is of course Moods of Norway.

So it will be exciting to see if Fam will choose a different venue in February to accommodate for all the people that wants to see her show.
