The Other Man – C/BRUERBERG AW11
The man she created wears tunics, caftans and kimonos paired to tights and wide pants. The materials space from cutout laces to loose and deconstructed knits with some see-through fabrics. The textures are diverse, from sleek to chunky. The color-scheme mainly contains neutrals, like white, grey, brown and black, but also some ethnic prints, and fluorescent details.
This collection confirms the intellectual approach to fashion which distinguishes Camilla Bruerberg, who describes it with these three words: “play, gravity and nerve”.
The designer, overwhelmed by the enthusiasm of both public and press, when asked about the invitation to participate to London Fashion Week, only manages to exclaim: “it’s amazing!” and adds modestly: “we will see how it is going to be”.
