Veronica B. Vallenes wins Max Factor New Talent Award
For the second straight year Max Factor in collaboration with Costume and Spalt PR, launched their Max Factor New Talent Award.
- Veronica is an accomplished designer that understands how to capture the time. The jury feels an attraction for her designer universe, which is feminine, seductive, simple and elegant, says Anne Christine Persson, manager for Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Veronica has gotten a lot of recognition in the industry this past year. She has done interviews in magazines such as Dazed & Confused and Costume, and in February 2010 she was the season’s debutee at OFW. She was also nominated for the prestigious Norwegian award Nåløyet in 2010.
Being the winner of the Talent Awawrd has given her much needed recognition.
- It is a recognition of doing something right, and it means very much for me and for my brand, says Vallenes.
As the winner she is sponsored her next catwalk show at CFW with 150.000 DK. This is a big step toward becoming more professional, as she can invest resources in other areas. Vallenes reveals that she is now looking to expand her business by hiring staff.

How did you, as a rookie designer, get to show at the main arena at CFW this August?
- My PR agency in Denmark had contacted CFW, which in turn contacted me. It was a big honor to be asked to show at the main arena of CFW.
Veronica moved to Copenhagen in Denmark about 6 years ago. At the time the fashion was not that big in Norway, and she wanted to get closer to a more vibrant fashion scene. This looks to be a good decision and we look forward for her next collation in February.
